Each & every week I scour video clips & news articles just to find what I consider the line of the week & this week was no different. However, once the news that Sen. Ted Kennedy died was reported, I scrapped every other potential choice because the line of the week belonged to him not only because it's my small way of paying tribute to an amazing legislator but also because his words were stirring then & can still evoke "goose-bumps on top of goose-bumps" now. When in 1980 he withdrew from running for president, he gave a speech that concluded with the following words:
"...For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, & the dream shall never die..."
Senator Edward M. Kennedy 8/12/1980
